Description: I have just been watching this video of a rental car company in New Zealand who is trying to promote their business. As I have worked with a couple of New Zealand rental car businesses in the past I have a bit of knowledge about how important the Internet marketing is to them.
Based on my experience with New Zealand rental car companies, I have decided to conduct an experiment to see if I can do with of the following:
1. Outdo the number of views my video's get compared to this one which I am responding to.
2. Get listed higher in the search results on Google.
I have notice that this New Zealand renal car company has obviously spent a good amount of time putting their promotional video together, however, are they getting the best possible results? I wonder?
So by the end of this experiment, I want to show the new Zealand rental car market that it is possible to get good leads to their website without having to spend a lot of money.
Who am I? Well, my name is Vaughan Rivett and I am an IT consultant based in New Zealand. About 4 or 5 years ago I did some work for a couple of New Zealand rental car companies to help them get listed high in the Google search results.
While I am oin the subject I think that it is worth sharing with you about a New Zealand car rental comapnay who I rented a car from called Avis Car Rentals. A word of caution really. When I rented a car off them while travelling though part of New Zealand, I returned it with a full tank of gas to the kisok which was unmanned. Once I retuned to the office a couple of days latter I asked the car rental company for a copy of the detailed in voice which had been charged to my credit card. I looked through it only to find that the compand had billed me another $14.00 or so for fuel. I asked about it and was told that the local Avis Car Rentals would look into and get back to me. I heard nothing so wrote to the head office to get them to sort it out. I got a couple of emails back but did not hear back after the credited the money to my visa.
I think that this may be common practice here in New Zealand for unmanned desks. It is a way the the New Zealand rental car companies can make a truck load of money throughout a single year. Watch your invoice.
However, in the main I have found New Zealand car rentals to be quite good.
