This car is currently available on lease in Japan and California to people who live near hydrogen filling stations.
There are an increasing number of Hydrogen filling stations in Japan and the United States.
Storage of Hydrogen is expensive however the cost is getting cheaper.
With more of these cars around the world would not be dependent on a few countries for fuel.
Hydrogen can be extracted from methane, oil and water using electricity from renewable sources such as wind, wave, tidal, solar and hydro power.
The cost of renewable energy is now competing with fossil fuel and nuclear energy.
To extract hydrogen is getting cheaper.
You may see on youtube cars that allegedly run on water. There is no such thing as a car that is powered by water.
You may have heard that you can purchase hydrogen boosters for your gasoline car engine that convert water into hydrogen and run off your cars battery.
These allegedly boost your mpg.
The overall efficiency of these boosters is questionable due to the extra fuel used to charge the battery to electrolyse the water.
Don't believe everything you read or see on a video but believe this, it is well researched.
Please feel free to ask a question, however please do not leave a comment saying hydrogen is dumb unless you have done a lot of research on the subject.
