The Heritage Run Length: 8:16
Description: Celebrating 150 years of Railways In India. The first train ran between Bombay and Thane in 1853.
This locomotive was rehabilitated by Central Railway Locomotive shops Parel in 2003. After the heritage runs over Bombay-Thane section the locomotive was sent to the Northern Railway Shed at Rewari, from where it was used by the other zonal railways under variuos names such as "Sehanshan" etc for carrying put various steam joy ride trains, for the die hard sream fans.
The rehabilitation was carried out by the dedicated men at Locomotive shops Parel within a record time of around a month that included extensive research in locating the spare parts as the boiler tubes are hard to find in 2003. This run is a saga and dedication of the workforce at Parel Shops of Central Railway.
