On May 24, 2007 the classic steamer EDWARD L. RYERSON made her first-ever trip through the Welland Canal, laden with taconite pellets for Quebec City, PQ. I was there and caught this historic trip on video.

HMCS Halifax went through the Welland Canal May 23, 2007. Here she has just left Lock #4 and is proceeding toward Lock #3.
