The Chicago History Museum, in its new lobby, features a 1978 Chevy Monte Carlo lowrider created by the Amistad Car Club of Cicero, Illinois. October 15, 1992. The aircraft landed at Meigs Field, Chicago to be an exhibit for the Museum of Science and Industry. The crew was Captain B C Thomas, First Officer Bill Loewe, and Second Officer Greg Hammes.

On 21 June, the new BMW museum re-opened its doors for the public. 125 original exhibits in 25 exhibition areas, spreading over 5000 sq m, display more than 90 years of BMW history. A completely new concept and a unique architecture offer an outstanding journey through space and time. Around 400 000 visitors are expected each year.

LeMay - America's Car Museum in Tacoma, WA, is dedicated to preserving and interpreting the LeMay Collection of automobiles and memorabilia, along with vehicles and artifacts it may acquire. The LeMay Collection was recognized in the Guinness Book of World records as the largest privately held car collection in the world.

Hidden behind a house in Spanaway, Washington, is one of the best privately owned collections of motorcycles in the country. The collection includes a full set of Harley-Davidson Knuckleheads.
