A Zeppelin NT flies into Friedrichshafen airport, landing after a turn into the wind. The pilot holds the airship down by its engines. The small ground crew take the steps to help the passengers alight.

What a sight this must have been, circa 1936. "Just imagine" looking skyward in downtown Manhattan -- and seeing this silent monster floating above! This is the impressive, hydrogen-filled Zeppelin from Germany called Hindenburg. It had been flying for a year before its fatal mooring May 6, 1937, at Lakehurst Naval Air Station in Manchester Township, New Jersey.

De Zeppelin NT07 ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zeppelin_NT ) komt vanuit Bonn Duitsland. Een week zal deze 75 meter lange luchtschip op 300 meter hoogte boven Rotterdam te zien zijn. Deze zeppelin, is het modernste, grootste en stilste luchtschip ter wereld. Hij is langer dan een Boeing 747 en de Airbus A380.
