This is a clip of the SSC Ultimate Aero's official record run in the state of Washington. On September 13, 2007, SSC managed 257.41 mph (414.31 km/hr) in its first run. On the 15th October 1997 Thrust SSC became the first car to ever break the sound barrier. Piloted by Wing Commander Andy Green of the RAF, a top speed of 763.035mph over the flying mile was achieved.
