TF Centaur CH-47D at FOB Naray (Kunar Province) lifting one set of a few sling loads bound for 3-71 CAV soldiers at Camp Keating and Gowardesh in 2006. The AH-64A belonged to 7-6 CAV. Flights into this territory always required a gunship escort as they were targeted by Taliban and HiG forces (among others).

TF Centaur CH-47D Chinook making a tricky landing on a small HLZ in an undisclosed location in Afghanistan. It had just dropped off some supplies (note the blivet and lumber in the background) and I was shooting video from a small bridge (note the rotors). Yes, that is a mountain river surrounding the HLZ.
