I followed the manual's directions to start it. 3 pumps hold the pedal to the floor. Turn high idle adjuster counterclockwise to engage. wait for glow plug light to go out... crank.... more

purchased a 240d for 500 dollars with a blown engine. Got it started today to see how bad the motor is. Doesnt sound great but not as bad as I thought it would. What do you think?
